your jack is incorrectly fitted in the bottom of the jack theres a hole, the pointy thing next to the foot of the jack in the photo is what it sits on into the hole in the bottom of the jack

Hmm… not sure if I have the mechanical ability to attempt this repair. I’d best take it into the garage.
