Not knowing your 'skill set' it is a lot harder than changing a wheel on a standard 500.

Airbox has to come off. 3 nuts. Before you lift the airbox box you have to 'open' the clips that attach it to the 'tubing'.
Getting the rail for the spark plugs off is a little tricky. Before working left to right remove the 10mm nut wire attachment (like an earth wire).
You need an extension price with a plug removal 'socket' and loosen anti-clockwise and remove.
Fit new plug and continue removing old and new.
Then reverse 'operation'.
Make sure you use the correct NGK plug and check it's gapped correctly with a feeler gauge. Some individuals use copper grease whilst others say you shouldn't because you could overtighten.
If you use an iridium plug this is pre-gapped. If you wish to change the gap it is not changed in the normal way because of the delicate tip.
Make sure nothing drops into the spark plug holes !
Good website with NGK giving the correct plug and the gap.

thanks for your help much appreciated, just making sure there was no hidden problems

I also found that the spark plug tool I had wasn't thin enough to fit down the holes. It's quite deep.

Ah but this is a 1.2 and not 1.4 :p

The 1.2 is an 8v isn't it

Fairly easy tbh on the 1.2. Not difficult at all IMO. Remove air filter housing and HT leads and then on goes the socket over the plugs.

thanks all for that save me rummaging around in the tool box for a extension rod
