Sony ICE.... HELP!!!!!

Hi all,

finally got around to putting the sony cdx-mp40 in the Brava today, but I have a problem


Every time you turn the ignition off, the Sony loses its memory and all the settings, stored stations etc. have gone, the clock loses its time, and intermittently the "code" light on the dash comes on. Locking and unlocking the car gets rid of that no probs,, but the Sonys memeory is still FUBAR!!

Do I need a harness adapter??

The only reason I can think of is theres no permanent live from the battery???

HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!!

On the harness that came with the sony unit you have to swap the red wire to another place ... there should be a connector with 2 female terminals .

sorry for being a dumbasss, it went in the Renault no probs, and I really dont profess to be fantastic with wiring

Had the same problem when I put my MP40 in my Dads car, it had no harness we simply wired it from scratch, and missed the permenant live
