I run mine only on E5 with an Ethanol stabilizer from Castrol. If yours only runs on choke I'd start with the idle jet.

Out of interest, has anyone converted an 850/900 to fuel injection?
I've noticed Car SOS retrofit fuel injection to classic cars a few times - I'm less worries about performance and more about reliability (sorry purists)

If I remember rightly the Cinquecento had single point fuel injection maybe that could be adapted
