Hello!
My qubo has a rattling sound coming from shifting mechanism while driving.
It happens in every gear except neutral (sounds okay that rattle has to do something with rpm).
I can find a spot in every gear when it doesnt do that sound and simply hold the position by hand. But once i move it a bit to any side or stop holding the gear knob it does it again. I dont think it has anything to do with transmission. I have removed the cover and tried to re-grease the mechanism but it didnt help. It is such a annoying sound. But well.. it is only fiat coming from a van after all and has almost 12 years. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks!

Does it go if you dip the clutch or rest your foot on the pedal?
Is car high mileage?
Does there appear to be a lot of freeplay/slop/looseness in the gear linkage?

Clutch pedal doesnt affect the sound. But the gas pedal does. The sound is here only while using that gas pedal. The harder i accelerate the more loud it gets. While i am just holding the speed the sound is here, but it isnt that lound, but pretty annoying.
Here is the link for video to describe it better (video), you can clearly hear the sound under acceleration and when i stop using the throttle the sound stops.
Also worth noting that when i hold the shifter while acceleration in certain position, the noise isnt here. It looks like something might be loose or worn out. But i dont know.

I wouldnt say the car is high mileage. It has 100k miles right now and it is in nice condition overall.
About the freeplay.. there is some, but i dont think it is something unusual.

Thanks for answer :)

I don't recognise the sound from the video.
Any chance you can put it a wheel free garage ramp , but with the suspension at it's normal ride height and the wheels safely free to run, then if someone duplicates the normal conditions when noise happens whilst some one else is under the car listening to pinpoint noise direction.
So you are running it up in the gears where noise occurs and wheels are turning, but please do it safely!!!
