I am not a rich guy...:) i'm a student who's working (just turned 20 on 01.03.09 :D )...but my passion and my will for 1.4 on my SEI doesn't know limits...so money will be no problem :)...i just have to earn them...so i need to know how much...to know how much to put in an acount for this job...and pesonaly i don't know how much does a swap cost...i say about 1500E ?? Doen't laught :)...if it's not enought :)...

Until i met you the problem was...where??? with who???...imposibile...if i don't have the mecanic to do this...i could have the money but never have the swap :) you understand what i want to say??? Aaaand...Greece it's not far away from Romania...and yes...i'm considering bringing the car there...and doing the swap there...but until that i have to set up all the part's details...money...and so on...But at least it's a possibility and posibile job.

Thalk with the mecanic...and we shall see...maybe we will meet sooner then hoped:D

And thank's again for your HUUUUGE amount of help (if i could i will reply it back :) ).

P.S. Sry 4 my bad english :)

Kind regards, Bogdan

look...in my case all the modification cost more than 2500 euros...and i had also the old 1242 16v engine (was my ex-engine for about 4 years)...so i just had inlet, ecu, wiring harness (ready from 4 years... a half 1108 and a half 1242 16v) alternator, ignition coils, spark plug wires, crankshaft pulley and other thinks...

PS my english is badest!!! :p
sorry for all the english users from this forum...:(

You have killed my dreams :) officialy (joking)...but 2500E...is a lot...i didn't expect that...more details tommorow...now i gtg sleep. by bye

Yes man, true...but where would i do the ECU??? Who will do my electrical wirings...etc etc....it's more easly and more productive and safe to do it at somebody else who already did this ;)....i think...I romania i don't know where to get a Magasquirt and etc...but 2500E...+...it's mooooore than i imagined...

ELABORUS, you said...2500E...(but ask the mecanic too )...in those money...what are you encluding??? All inclusive :)? (i guess not :( )

what kind of emissions tests do cars in romania have to pass? are they strict, can the testers be bribed? ;)

I think a standard 1108cc MPI ECU could run a 1368cc 16v engine.

Euro 2 minimum :)...and yes...they can be bribed...a lot...and yes...probabli it would run the 1368 engine but not in maxim parameters ;)...and i could have 70hp with 1.4 16v and old ecu...and it doesn't rent...2500E for 15hp?...:(...and so on....

and another think important...the 1242 16v ecu have the immobilizer...
i have made a costom key with chip from 1242 16v ecu for start the engine...and a key for the starter...(similar than 1108 seicento...the stock key)
it cost 25 euro for any key (i have make 3 similar)

That is not a real problem :) it can be solved quickly...i guess :)

But what did you meant when you said one key for the engine and one for the starter??

...no no...(Dam,my bad english :()
its ONE key...
a custom key
similar with the stock key from mine seicento (key with immobilizer for 1108 ecu) but with the chip from the ecu 1242 16v (in my case)
so you can start the engine with this! ;)

dear Bogdan

i have speak with my mechanic for this conversion...(swap)

so,you need,for your seicento mk2...

-one engine 1368 16v (it's not neccesery all the engine, but only the block, head, alloy sump...but is hard to find one complete engine)
-one engine 1242 16v...the old with the 86 hp (you need the parts for this, like inlet manifold, the twin coil pack, spark plug wires, throttlebody, alternator, crankshaft pulley)
-ecu and wiring harness from 1242 16v...the old with the 86 hp
-wiring harness from seicento sporting mk1
also...
-manifold custom made or supersprint
-reprogramming ecu (chip)
-more powerfull fuel pump (like from punto gt)
-(the engine mounts is the same from your seicento,so,no problem)
and of course...

-the mechanics work for the conversion

all of these about 2500+ euro money

cheers

PS : you need 2 stock wiring harness...for make 1 custom wiring harness (half 1108 mk1 & half 1242 16v) ...you dont need for this conversion your stock wiring harness 1108 mk2...is very difficult...!!!

K...i got the ideea...i will raise the money and parts...and after that i will see what i can do...it's very difficult...a lot of money...but eventualy i'll have it done... Elaborus thank you very much for your help untill now. I will stay and continue looking at your car's project...and by the way...what's next??? :)
