IF it's genuine leather treating it with a leather treatment will keep it supple and less likely to degrade?
Thanks John can I ask as well as your an expert at all thing Fiat.. when changing gear especially 4 to 5th when I let the clit h up the rec counter goes really high then goes back to normal any ideas please?

Doesn’t look like genuine leather, however a leather repair kit will fix that.

They’ll be plenty of videos to follow on YouTube to show you the ways, for perforating it again I’d use a toothpick to make the new holes

Normally when you change gear your foot is off(pretty much) the accelerator as the revs/engine speed needs to drop for the higher gear, if need be have someone else try driving the car with you in it? My feeling is you're unintentionally pressing the pedal hence the high revs?

I don't think any fiat will have real leather seats just pu leather
The tend to have proper leather in the centre of the seat and then the rest is vinyl.

Looks like vinyl on the picture but you can never be sure from a snippet from a picture.

If it’s vinyl applying leather conditioning creams and treatments will do nothing to protect it

I got red leather seats in our 500 it’s all leather except for the back, was expecting the tops to be PU but isn’t which is nice, it’s got a stamp of some Italian leather company.

For smell apply Gliptone leather shampoo and conditioner, I rub the conditioner in by hand and smells like ive fisted a cow for a couple of days after 😂

I always use that on cars I own with leather and still smells new
