Hello, first time posting.

I have a 2012 fiat 500 pop sport and my seats were half “leather” half cloth. They were extremely dirty since I bought it and wouldn’t clean and the they started to rip…. I found all leather seats from a 2013 fiat 500 lounge. I put some conditioner on them and they look new it’s awesome they are also heated seat. My fiat didn’t have heated seats my question is will it be just as easy as adding an after market switch or fitting the factory switch in a giving it 12v power or is there more to it? A module or sensors? I tried looking online and didn’t find much information for this factory ish route just how to fit a eBay or Amazon kit.

Thanks in advance!

I would say this isn't as straight forwards as just adding 12v to the wires and having a toasty bum.

The heaters on even the cheapo Chineese seat heaters you can buy on ebay for usually less than £20/$25 have a microprocessor to control the heater. if you just put 12 volts to them they may quickly get too hot and you risk a fire. Normally there are several heat settings that you access by pressing the button repeatedly. So I would do a bit of research on how the heated seats are controlled before just wiring 12V to them.
