Ok, I've got to go over to Norfolk next week, (although won't be in my Fiat) and I don't know the exact directions, so I thought I'd use the sat nav.
Now the problem is, the holder that clips to the windscreen is forever falling off...

I wondered if there was a grill clip (like there is for mobile phones) whereby I can clip the holder to the heating grill at the top of the dashboard and place the sat nav on that, at least that way it will be secure or is there a knack (apart from pressing really hard on the holder to stick it firmly to the windscreen?

dont bother with a holder you put in the vents, once any weight is on it/in it it will fall off

my GFs dad has a bike sat nav and uses it in his car, he has a non slip mat and a holder thats made of fabric which lies on the non slip mat, can you get anything like that?

Garmin do something like that, its called a friction mount. Probably costs about £20.

whare you sticking it
is the punto screen slightly rounded?

Well I've never tried it in the Punto, I tend to use it in my dads Ford and set it up for my dad when he needs to go to new locations and he has reported it falls off the windscreen too!

I stick it in the centre of the windscreen with about 3 inches above between the bottom of the sat nav and the dashboard, and sometimes if I go over a bump in the roads, or even if the road is flat and straight, it will fall off randomly!
