Hi there,

Sorry for yet another post regarding Roof Racks! - I was attempting to fit this one yesterday - Can't link Yet... But its the Equip Car Roofbar Roof Bars Rails For Fiat Punto 3P CLA044 which is currently on Ebay.... The instructions which came with it were complete and utterly useless! After failing miserably to attach I went in search of help and found I need to actually lift the Rubber Strip on the roof and attach on in the sockets there.... Can I assume that the rubber strip will just then go back over the top of it once fitted? Also do I need to pull this up from the front or can I just pull it away where the Roof Rack should be attached?

I also wanted to check if anyone has used the Thule Karrite Odyssey 325 roofbox with their Punto... Whether it fitted with the Punto and how it felt driving with it... Admittedly we only plan to use it when on holiday or camping so it isn't going to be sat on the top all the time.

Thanks for any Info

Danny

The rubber strip may sit up slightly while it attached, as it normally sits flush and covers it up

Since its a 3dr, there isn't a rear mount - i believe it sits on a pad and hooks under the 3/4 windows, never tried it

As with anything when you raise the center of gravity - the car will roll more
Be affected by wind a hella lot more
Fuel consumption does go down
Roof rack = Boot fully, so ensure your spare tyre is fully inflated as well as the tyre to the loaded rating

Nvere had a roof rack on my car, but been in several that have, you often find you get a wistling noise as well as the wind howl's past

Remember to load it equally, heavy to the bottom and center if possible and lighter things on top

Ensure its secured down as well - last thing you want is to be picking up your ruined belonging with blue flashing lights and a ticket in your hand
