He doesn't actually say where he had his map done does he?
A few days ago I noticed the coolant was below minimum but there was still plenty in the resevoir.
I topped it up and drove 100 miles. When I looked again the next day, the morning after the journey, my engine was covered in dried coolant stains and nothing was left in the resevoir.
I didn't see an increase in engine temperature on the journey. But I may not have noticed.
you have to wonder about people who post things like this
any one with a bit of sense would be constantly keeping eye on temperature after coolant being that low
Good find and good point dave. As I said "dont panic" guys.....
Check coolant and hoses for sure but we should all do that anyway. I'm sure anyone who has re-mapped will be vigilant, as well as ensure they bring forward their oil changes and use the correct grade from a known manufacturer. I know I will.![]()
Quite possibly....but I do a hell of alot of miles in my car a week...and it just feels like i'm having to nurse an angry rottweiler all the time.
There is so much torque in the car that i'm having to be very careful with the clutch and also the car tends to be all or nothing. It's either slow, or gunning it...doesn't seem to be much of an in-between.
Red-Dot definitely know their stuff though, and i'm sure Tony will be able to tweak the map to suit my driving style.
