Im a boring fart....mine is going back tomorrow to Tony at Red-Dot to be tamed slightly....a little too crazy in the wet!!

really!! cant believe ur doin that! u'll regret it lol!!

Quite possibly....but I do a hell of alot of miles in my car a week...and it just feels like i'm having to nurse an angry rottweiler all the time.

There is so much torque in the car that i'm having to be very careful with the clutch and also the car tends to be all or nothing. It's either slow, or gunning it...doesn't seem to be much of an in-between.

Red-Dot definitely know their stuff though, and i'm sure Tony will be able to tweak the map to suit my driving style.

Yeah it aint to bad for a little 1.6 is it everybody around where i live like the sound.
I dont know why but the engine loves the GSR it soudns like the two are making sweet love.
Oh and i cannot forget to mention Zero exhausts who built the exhaust from scratch and did a very good job.
Only question is now, what would it sound like with a decent manifold:slayer:

you have to wonder about people who post things like this
A few days ago I noticed the coolant was below minimum but there was still plenty in the resevoir.

I topped it up and drove 100 miles. When I looked again the next day, the morning after the journey, my engine was covered in dried coolant stains and nothing was left in the resevoir.

I didn't see an increase in engine temperature on the journey. But I may not have noticed.

any one with a bit of sense would be constantly keeping eye on temperature after coolant being that low

Good find and good point dave. As I said "dont panic" guys.....

Check coolant and hoses for sure but we should all do that anyway. I'm sure anyone who has re-mapped will be vigilant, as well as ensure they bring forward their oil changes and use the correct grade from a known manufacturer. I know I will. (y)

Im totally over my panicking stage, my turbo whistles and whines to hell and i love it!!(y) There is absolutely nothing i can do if the turbo is going to blow its going to blow. so if it happen it happens and i will cross that bridge when i come to it. meanwhile i drive the car like i would any other, that means dont thrash the arse off it.(y)

can you not just use the throttle to controll your car??

Yeah, I can, but I just feel the car has far more power than is necessary. Also, if I do boot it, I get a huge plume of black smoke out of the back!!

Not a problem though, Red-Dot were really cool about things, and said bring it back in and they will hook it up and map it to my requirements. I'm only about 10 miles away from Watford when im at work so its not a problem.
