For anyone in the classic panda section wishing to attend Richards funeral please read the following carefully...

It would be good to arrange a meeting point and drive in convoy.

PLEASE PM ME WITH YOUR INTENTION TO ATTEND.

I will then have an idea of numbers and will sort where the meeting place will be.

Any of you local to each other can phone or pm to meet and drive to the location together...I will leave that part to you.

Do not use this thread to reply... Thanks Kevin.

i had a dive to get my bearings on the location of the meeting place, its localish to me and i do know the road just not the building numbers..
one thing i thought i should let you all know, along the same stretch of road theres 3 buildings with the same number.

i think.. i am getting it right when i say its the one in the middle.
well.. if you see a green 4x4 with blue doors and it looks lost, you will know its me.
i must admit though, i am kinda hoping that i will find other pandas parked up and know where to go.

Hi Paula,

Naturally it was a difficult day for everyone, but particularly for you and your family. Barbara and I thought you coped brilliantly and we thank you for making us feel so welcome. I'm sure Richard would have been proud of the turnout and how the whole day went.

As you know, I took a couple of pictures outside the house to give those that couldn't make it an idea of the cars that made up the procession, if there are no objections I will post them in a day or so.

Our thoughts and good wishes will be with you in the difficult days ahead, so please keep posting and letting us know how you are.

Best wishes, Vernon and Barbara.

Ok, here's the few pictures I have.

There wasn't really much of an opportunity to take many, these are outside Richard and Paula's house while we were waiting for the hearse........

The procession was made up of the hearse, Paula in Richard's grey 4x4, other family members, then the classic Panda's (6 I believe), a Mk3 Panda, Fiat multipla's, a Stilo. There may have been others after this and I may not have the order exactly right but that is pretty close.

I'm sure that all those that saw the procession were left in no doubt that here was someone who loved cars, and Fiats in particular.

After the service we went back to a pub near the house. Here are a couple more (poor light now I'm afraid) in the pub carpark.......

You'd think they'd never seen an engine before!

Thank you again Paula for making us so welcome.
