Styling Replacement of CD changer with a tray

Hello guys,

I have a mk2 with a dashboard with CD changer.
However, I have changed the original CD with a custom one, therefore the CD changer is no more in use. Instead of having it there, I would like to remove it and put a tray box(?) on its place.

This is what I am talking about (car is not mine, I found the picture on google):

I know for sure it is possible to put a plastic tray/box or something similar to that just to keep things inside (like a mini glovebox), but I am afraid I have no idea how to call that or search that thing.

If anyone can give me a supposed name of what I'm searching or a link to something similar on eBay I'd be very thankful

just get basic console out of scrap punto

Keep the centre console and have the top dash ones for nice dials and guages

Like vacuum, oil pressure, bat voltage, oil temp, even a nice snazzy water temp (but if you have 1 on dash it's pointless)

You could fit dials lower down too....

Or swap the centre console for one with cup holders which is infinitely more useful
