Remote central locking upgrade Kit, genuine FIAT part

Hey.
I couldn`t find an appropriate forum, this one was the closest.
I bought the Fiat remote kit for my mk2, to remote control the central locking, and the instructions aren`t the best. It is part number 46001874, and the kit is wired into the fuse box area gubbins. Has anyone else installed this, and could give me a few pointers please? Or a website with instructions?

Hi,

First off welcome to Fiat-Scotland :-D

I used this kit on mk2 and to be honest the instructions are total shite. From what I could work out the manual was made for an alternative fuse box as the cable colours didnt match up to the diagrams.

The best advice I can give you is to follow the instruction manual diagram using the connection numbers and not the colors of the cables it advises you to connect to as these were conflicting on my fusebox.

My mate carried out most of the work on mines - it took him a couple of hours to fit it all and he is pretty handy with electrical things as hes a computer tech so deffo give yourself plenty of time to do it.

ah **** sorry mines was a different box, mines was a blue box with all the wires. Probably very similiar things but sadly not identical

i`m having the same trouble as you. I have located all the wires via the numbered pins, but they don`t match the colours shown in the instructions

if u really really want, become a memeber on puntomk2.co.uk (im not trying to promote the site! honest! (woo puntomk2!)) and in their members section (6 quid for a year membership and u get stickers), it has a guide on how 2 install RCL tellin u the right colours n ****. handy as hell like, but when it came on the forum, i'd already sold my active sport n shitty 20 quid ebay RCL kit n got a sporting which has it already
