Has anyone got a part number for relay on 2017 ducato that fits in location t17 in engine bay fuse box. Have got a fuse in location for the rear power socket by back door but no power. Read somewhere that t17 is needed.

I don't have a part number but eLearn info says it is a 30 Amps micro relay.
I would be surprised if it isn't the same type as: T02 (current socket/cigar lighter), T06 (engine high speed cooling fan), T09 (injection system), T19 (windscreen wiper) and T20 (diesel filter heating; since these are also listed as 30 Amps/micro. So you could probably look at any of these.

Thanks might take one of them out and place it in t17 location to see if it works.
Do be aware that removing any relay controlled via the BCM, or the ECU may create an error code when you switch the ignition on. A simpler test may be to apply a temporary short between the two larger sockets in the vacant relay position. However if adopting this test, also take note that one of them may be alive at 12V, with only a150A fuse between it and the battery. Use a short piece of wire and take care.

There are at least 2 versions of diagrams in the x290 eLearn for the 12V sockets. None of them lists the socket by the rear door. Two of them list a socket on the side, on the wall opposite of the passenger's side side door. Depending on the body type. And the most important: none of them lists ANY relays in the 12V power sockets circuits.

Can you please precise which body type your vehicle has? If you're not sure, a photo would be great :)

Haha, the Italians and their data coherence :D I'm sometimes glad the van drives...

I wonder how they managed to operate the dashboard and the side power sockets without the relay, but they need one for the same power socket at the back.

Have got l3h2. Have also got conversion socket behind drivers seat. That has no wire behind the related fuse location. Have a reverse camera fitted to reverse wire but wanted to change it to be a perm rear view camera.

Nevermind the body type you've got, the rear socket is not listed in any of the wiring diagrams I saw (van, panorama, cabin crew, minibus). So in fact getting the correct body type won't help :(

In the beginning I assumed that it is a dealer / converter installed socket, but I found the same fusebox / relay diagram + description you and MSjoberg have seen and it clearly says the T17 relay is for the rear power socket. That's why I was complaining about the Italians.

Hope it will get the power once you put the relay in place. If not, it will be difficult to trace the installation, as it is not described in the available eLearn. Good luck :)

Did the same on my van, I have the ingition powered reverse camera :) But it was not factory installed, so I just run a wire on my own.

Where did you take the live feed from for camera? Mines a aftermarket camera fitted in brake light. Currently tapped in to reverse wire.

Basically if you do need a relay, a micro automotive relay 30A 12V SPNO with resistor will suffice. Example here.
