Friends,
This is regarding Front-door lock barrel for Palio.
I have an issue with my palio's front door lock. I opened and found that some spring was broken and due to that the key hole barrel is not re-setting to its neutral (central) position. I found that on 99rpm, this article is available. On http://www.99rpm.com/fiat/door-lock-handle-front-rh-palio-petra.html, it is mentioned as “Key-Lock” costing Rs.419=00.
My questions are:
(1) Is this key-lock (key hole barrel) common for any Palio car of the same model?
(2) If I replace the defective key-lock with a new one from 99rpm, could it be operated by my car's original KEY' (It is the same key for ignition).
(3) If this is possible, could any key be used to open any door of the similar model car?
I think, I am doing some mistake in understanding the issue.
Your guidance is requested.
Thanks.
