Bought my Panda 1.2 Pop (2015) in December last year with rear screen washer not working. Decided a bit of detective work was needed to track down where the fault was.
Initially checked the nozzle at rear screen was clear and no obvious faults at rear screen.
To check the front piping for both front and rear screen you need to remove both front wipers and the plastic cowling
Pop the 2 covers off and the nut covers on wiper arms. 13mm socket to remove nuts and washers and a jiggle to remove wiper arms......Then using a plain screwdriver, remove the 3 poppers (1 each side and 1 centre) also the 2 smaller plastic poppers, 1/2 turn and pop up.
Work one side to clear bonnet, then lift cowling at centre to ease out before releasing from the bonnet at other end. Note that front washer hoses are contained in the underside of cowling, lay this across engine, no need to disconnect. There are cowling foam ends at each side, remove these to allow cleaning around this area. It will be full of spiders webs, leaves and dirt....good opportunity to cleanup here.
You now have access to rear washer hose, and it will likely be disconnected - see pic.....
Re-connect and test. I did consider fitting a small jubilee clip but didn't have one small enough, so for now, some electrical tape to wrap, although the hose is a firm fit.
Whilst in under the scuttle I would advise just removing the duck bills as they seem to be useless and fill up with leaves and detritus, I did this, see pic below......
I used these opportunity to give one of my wiper arms a few coats of satin black as paint had lifted one one of these.....
Then after a good clean out in these areas now accessible, it's just a reverse of removal steps to refit cowling, wipers, nut covers and plastic cover plates. I used copper grease to lube the splines and threads of wiper arm fittings.
A quick test to ensure all wash jets working and front wipers in correct position, job's a good 'un
Cause for rear wash hose to disconnect: most likely cold winter sub zero freezing conditions and not using a winter mix washer fluid. Iced up hose blowing apart when actuated
