Hi
the rear screen heater switch seems to have "come unstuck" - when I press the switch, the whole lozenge shaped switch holder goes in. Me thinks something has broken or come adrift.
The panel that it is mounted on also includes the various heating rotary dials and looks like a simple pull off, so I can inspect behind.
But it is a foolish person who tugs at flimsy plastic without seeking advice - so can anyone advise as to removing this panel before I start exploring?
Many thanks!

I did a video showing how to take a dash off and it shows what to do

Wow! Not just advice - but a video too!! Many thanks RUI - I was completely amazed to see the panel come off complete with rotary controls. Normally these sort of things have to be eased off first.
So glad I didn't foolishly dive in........

Yeah i watched the garage do it at the dealer seriously easy!

Yes, thanks for asking Chrissy.
The lozenge shaped switch unit is secured by three security type screws to thin plastic posts. The one at the cable end had broken, allowing the whole switch unit to swing inwards.

I held the unit in position and glue gunned it in place from behind. Hopefully, job done.

Hope this doesnt sound too techy - I should have taken some photos, but it was freeeeeezing yesterday.

Well done for stopping smoking btw!
