can anyone help me out , digital heater , all lights come on but cannot get air to blow through any of the vents except the top 2 . Only comes through when turn on the recirc then here flap close .

This is not an uncommon fault. Do a few searches and you will find plenty of information and I believe details of someone who can do the repair at a sensible cost. It sounds like broken actuator lever (s)

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately this is quite a common fault on 500's fitted with climate control. The cause is a broken plastic spindle in the flap actuating mechanism. The official fix is to replace the heater box complete (individual parts are not available); a procedure which involves removing both doors, the steering column, and most of the interior forward of the front seats.

Do a few searches and you will find plenty of information and I believe details of someone who can do the repair at a sensible cost.

It's worth making even a long trip to Hampshire for this. A main dealer repair for this fault is likely in the order of £3000-£4000!

You could always book it in for a Friday or Monday and have a weekend in the New Forest.

It's also possible for a solenoid to fail, or for the actuating logic to get corrupted; both much easier fixes, so if you can find someone with a copy of MES, this is worth checking first.
