You need to swap around the memory live and ignition live, so that it powers up when you turn on the ignition.
Do you have a voltmeter?
Usually swap red and yellow, that is usually people's error, they have it on permenant live feed.
Just wondered if anyone knew why my radio decides to stay on when the car is switched off. Is this meant to be the case? and can i make it so it doesnt do this?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi my bravo head unit was fine for about a year then wouldn't switch off. Even when you pressed the power off button the lights would all go off and looked off but still got sound. I just got the dealer to change it under the warranty. I had to turn the volume down before i turned car off so as not to drain battery then dealer disconnected the stereo until new unit arrived.
Oh why did I have to post in this thread. The monkey sitting in the back seat of the Bravo is being treat to the delights of Radio 1 as the car sits outside.
What's the warranty period for the headunit?![]()
I will phone my local dealer ASAP.
Pity my previous dealer (yes you Evans Halshaw) lost my radio code card and every time I try to speak to someone at the new place they've moved to (they closed about 2 months after I bought the car) I end up on hold or the person is at lunch/gone home/on sick/been kidnapped by aliens.![]()
You may be able to arrange for them to loan you a courtesy car for free. Generally though you need to make your own arrangements. Luckily my dealer is about a mile and a half away from work, so they drop me off in the morning then I get a lift back there on the afternoon - usually from my colleague who has an Alfa.. in return he gets lifts when his goes "bing bing bing"![]()
Even while driving I switched the radio off by the button, and the sound continued to play.
its called 'fuzzylogic-music' if its a good song it wont switch off (car has taste) if its crap song its all too happy to turn off![]()
