Technical Punto MKII 1.3 Multijet ODB Reader

Hi Guys

Any advice on what basic scan tool to use on the Fiat Punto MKII 1.3 Multijet? I have tried a few OBD ELM327 interfaces and various Apps, but have not been able to communicate with the ECU.
I am currently trying Konnwei OBD ELM327 interface with the Car Scanner APP. It's working fine on other vehicles makes, just not on my Punto.

Does your OBD port have power?


They should all connect with primitive codes , P#### for engine errors

It's the other modules on the car that can be more difficult

The MultiECUscan software is very good..
Once you know the port Is Working

Nothing wrong with the ODB port. I have access to two 1.3 Multijet Puntos, and I cant get it to work on either. Working fine on petrol models though.

You need ELM327 v1.5 or v2.2+ PIC18f2480 or 25k80. If USB chip FTDI.
Best software is Fiatecuscan/Multiecuscan or AlfaOBD. For ABS/airbag you could need adapters green/red.

Thanks @clayts450 , I will give most likely give it a try. @varesecrazy , it is avilable in South Africa.

Anybody else that maybe can confirm if Vgate iCar Pro is indeed working on the Punto (188) 1.3 Multijet?

Hi

Thought I share some feedback. I tried the free version of Multiecuscan with my Konnwei OBD ELM327 interface and it worked!! Guess that proved the interface to be fine.
The Car Scanner APP is still not communicating with the ECU.

Now I am looking for an App that will allow me to read sensor values - Free version of Multiecuscan does not seem to have that functionality.
