Just to ask you older members. When i bought my punto, it already had non-fiat alloys on that are 1" bigger than stock (15"). Will my insurance be invalid if i have a crash because of this?

And i do agree insurance is basically forced robbery for young drivers. I only managed to get insured because of a new insurance company obviously wanting customers. If it wasn't for that. I was getting quoted £4500-6000 for a 1.2 punto. Which doesn't need anything explaining about. No offences, don't live in a bad neighbourhood or anything and it was still that much.

your saying put it back to standard you expect me to pay £100 for window tints and then peel them off? play tapes in my car instead of cd's and take an air filter off cos its slightly bigger? i think ill pass on that, think what you like of me but i dont ruin it for others its already ruined.

Yup. Insurance Companies do not like handing out the cash if they can possibly avoid it. Any excuse, and 'they're out', leaving you up shat creek without a paddle.

CD player will not be an issue. Induction kit makes a farty noise, does very little else, so why not remove it.

Ugly mates kit, well you should have checked with the insurance before paying out the £100. Would have saved you money twice which can't be a bad thing.

ugly mates kit? dont understand.
i new id have to declare the windows so why check first? its not been done for long and theres not long left of this insurance so i see no point in telling them so i have to pay a fortune, i have a quote from a different insurance to change onto with everything declared for £2000 i see no point in removing things for the sake of a few month and wont be so telling me to is a waste of time, its only illegal if i get caught and tbh i have bigger things to worry about than 3 black windows and an air filter

Why didn't you wait until your new insurance was live before fitting the tints.
