Technical Punto MK2 Front Wiper Blade Size

Hello..

I've looked through a couple of related posts and they all were quite confusing.

I've got a MK2 2003 Punto and I need the front wiper blades replaced and not sure what size to go and get from halfords, was wondering if someone can help me out as I've not done it before.

Drivers side - 22"
Passenger side - 18"

I got the pair for £10 from Halfords last week. Bosch ones too

Pretty much it. I'm running 21/17 atm with no problems. The idea is to have a big one on the driver side 21 - 22 to clear the max area and let tall people see out without stooping. The the passenger side has to be small enough not to hit the other wiper.
You may find that wipers are sold in mm sizes and the length on the box is not exactly what's inside. They don't have to be. I think the size on the box my wipers came in was 530/430 or similar.
Approximately
16" 400mm
17" 425mm
18" 450mm
19" 475mm
20" 500mm
21" 525mm
22" 550mm

I thinknim running 22/18 as well
But thats the largest u can go

I used to run 21/17 but bigger wipe = see better

If I buy them online are they easy enough to fit?

Halfords near me don't have them in stock so gonna have to get them ordered elsewhere online.

Yes, very easy

Never pay them to fit them

Save you £3 p/wiper fee and do it yourself

Once you've done it once, you will do it again

Some wipers are sods to fit, hence there experience comes in, but hey ho

punto linkages tend to go a bit saggy after a few years so i only recommend 21 and 18 as otherwise they can clash and boy do they make a mess if they do

When mine fell apart thats only time they clashed... my linkage hadnt gotten sooo sloppy yet they clash but I will keep an eye out for that now.....

As Wrightyy said thats the right size! But if you still need some euro car parts are doing a sale on them at the moment! i got the bosch super plus ones front set (18 and 22) for about £7.30! £2 for one and £4 something for the other! will find a link in a min! Bargainnnn as mine were really messed up!

The guy in the shop tried telling me it was gonna be over a tenner in the shop so i whipped out my smartphone and ordered on the spot! good ol click and collect so paid the £7.30 odd on the spot, trying to make me pay full price! :bang: Got them fitted now, easiest replacement parts ever lol!
