Hello,

On the bottom of the forum banner you've got a link to ePER, it's a FIAT spare parts catalogue. You can browse by models and categories, but also search by VIN (which will show you only the correct part numbers) or by part number, then check on which models the part was used.

Should be helpful in your case.

The search windows is top left of the screen.

The propshafts are all the same across the Panda range. Fiat introduced different numbers through the years but they all fit.

With regards to your ebay listing, I had a bad experience when I purchased one from there (different seller). The fit was poor, the joints at either end were very stiff and when I road tested the car the vibration made it undriveable. Clearly not balanced properly. I had to go though the hassle of removing it and sending it back for refund. In the end I paid £90 more and purchased from a propshaft specialist in Wolverhampton. The quality, fit and balancing were far superior to the ebay part, money well spent.

Hopefully you will have better luck than me...

Harvie,
I just had my 2017 4x4 Twin air propshaft changed two days ago. The center rubber bush had perished.

I got the replacement shaft from Des Shelley £275 and then £78 for fitting at my local fiat specialist.

I was told there was no difference in the propshaft between the diesel and petrol cars, but give them a ring to confirm.
Delivered next day direct to the workshop.

I was worried about getting a substandard part from ebay so I ordered from a propshaft company.

I think the prop shaft may still turn even if ELD is not engaged?
There must have been a slight noise from the old rubber bush as the car is now quieter with the replacement shaft,

I replaced mine in October, paid £300 from propshaftrepairs.com, the webpage for DriveLine and Hydraulic Engineering. They also sell through eBay. It was a new unit, came with the centre bearing, fitted perfectly to my 63 plate 4x4 mjet. They told me the propshafts are the same on all pandas, but just ask them if you're not sure.

I had help from my brother to fit it, we didn't even jack the car up, just reached everything from the sides, rolled the car on it wheels turning the shaft to gain access to the bolts.

The prop shaft is rotating any time the wheels are, even if the system is not 'calling for' four wheel drive

Pressed the ELD button does not alter that, but does force 4x4 drive (rather than the default setting of 'auto'). The full description of how the 4x4 system works can be found in another thread...

All back up and running. Ran 2wd for a week then got new propshaft from Vantastic on bay.
Thanks for all input
