That's 5 weeks of dirt I've being so busy and so knackered that I just really cba cracking the buckets snowfoam jet wash and wax out soon be winter though and I need to decide now how far I'm going to protect the outside

Well my Ferrari In Affordable Trim has being well..... Fucked In Affordable Trim for the last week or two.

Firstly my clutch release bearing started whining and grinding so down two euro car parts for a new release bearing phoned my mechanic pal to ask for some help and before he could even get through it collapsed. upon the clutch release bearing collapsing the gearbox started making some horrific screaming grinding banging and all other noises associated with that so on the phone to the mechanic again to ask for some help and he came out last Sunday. We ended up replacing the clutch pressure plate and the release bearing turns out i've warped the flywheel slightly so yep no bother its not effecting it the now box back in fresh oil etc etc went to reverse and got all of about 3 inches before noticing a horrific grinding and scraping noise coming from he heart of the gearbox then all of a sudden the car stopped dead pulled forward tried 3 more times and well the car was stranded so we drained the box to find probably any car owners nightmare chunky oil!!!!! well ****!!!!!!

First port of call was jacking both sides of the car and spinning the wheels which presented my worst night mare the sound of metal on metal and ball bearings running round the inside of the box many many angry swear words later we came to the conclusion it was just easier for now to replace the box for a reconditioned one. £270 quid later a new box arrived stripped the ****ed one back out of the car new one in fresh oil new seals he whole shabang even threw some slick 50 in there for good measure but im now £500 quid lighter after a new clutch + bearing + gearbox so not a cheap month but shes back on the road.

No broken gearbox is complete with out a few pictures more are to follow once i finish cleaning the meany meany piles of metal filings and bearing casings from the parts.

Older than the teuchter car then - I'm still only on 83k as I have very little time to get out and about at the moment.

That's 90k on the second engine though isn't it?

Yeah so I put the new engine in between 60-70k and it had 20k on the clock

so the massive sub box has being ripped out and this is in its place still more to be done and also the tank to be powder coated.

Well after nearly 16 months of being off the road due to a lack of time and money I finally started the punto and I'm pleased to say it ran first turn of the key. It drove to the end of the road and back under it's own power so pleased with that now to start ordering parts and get it back on the road for next summer cause I really miss driving that car.
