iOS does some daft stuff when email passwords get confused as can happen with failing battery and/or a poor mobile signal. I had to close all email apps (including online access) and reset the passwords from a new online session.

Windows 10, Firefox - I'm still getting big gaps between paragraphs when I do a double 'carriage return' to start a new para. Have to go back in and edit the post; two backspaces needed to take out oversized gaps.

I wanted to reply to an classified advert but got a message saying I had not selected the correct options. Other than write and clicking "send" I could see no other options.

I got the same yesterday trying to reply to a guy asking about headlight mods.
This was an Ipad and I couldn't reply whatever I did.

I have found a way to debug this, so if you can let me know if it's still doing it and which version of the browser you are using (I know some posted there, but that was a while ago) - I can get it downloaded and figured out.
Ideally a Windows machine.

Can't replicate this - can you give me an example thread it happens on.
What is the error? It's forbidden to view, or you just can't get to the last page, or maybe the page number is missing?

I went to have a look for that, but the password is only reset to that once you have followed the activation link, at which point, most people would then change it to something they would remember.
Also - you put in the wrong password 3 times (or is it 5) and it locks you out - it's not gonna work to brute force it.

Ben, it's still adding a blank line on my desktop system - Win 7 & Firefox 62.0.3
(This line was added afterwards with just one line above the previous one).
It's not a big deal as I can work around it; in fact, I've kinda gotten used to doing so now.
Update: if I add a new paragraph without a blank line above it, it doesn't add a line, but...
if I add a single line, it adds a second one.
