Hey guys

Thought I would pop back onto the website (as its been ages) and show you guys my newest car, a Peugeot 206!

Sadly the Punto was involved in a hit and run which happened whilst the car was parked outside my house, completely denting in the passengers rear quater  Due to the damage on the car and without anyone owning up I decided to sell the car for what ever I could get for it.

Bought the 206 completely standard in January:

Since then I have been busy doing subtle mods to the car:

- Genuine Peugeot GTi Spoiler
- Team Heko Wind Deflectors
- MAM 15" W1's Alloy Wheels
- Crystal M3 Rear Lights
- Ultra Black Angel Eyes
- Half Leather GTI Interior

I plan to swap the front and rear bumpers for sporting bumpers, colour code and possibly add SP arches as well :).

Here's some pictures showing how the car stands at the minute:

Let me know what you guys think! :D

Its looking good, better than stock with the subtle mods for sure.

Just got my youngest a 207 Sport 1.4 16valve. Sport by name not by nature, just 90Bhp to work with but the 207 seems well put together for a French car.
Oddly it has a full leather interior so she loves the thought of it, we'll see what the verdict is after she's owned it for a week or two (y)

Loads of people moan about French cars and their electrical systems but I am very happy about mine! It feels 10x better driving than my old Punto (Which for the time I had owned it had loads of problems ).

So far so good with the Peugeot, not had a problem yet! (y)

The car itself is a 1.1, so not the fastest out there!... does keep the petrol bills down though :slayer:

Hey, What year is it?

I currently have a 205 after having my Marbella. Step up for sure! Feels very confortable but then again the French live for comfort. Electrics aren't bad for me, Mind you, all electrics are just lights as its a carb model ;):D

electrisc issue is on new franch cars not ancient ones

you have 2 205's? well, I know about 21st century cars, not older ones, but anyway it should be easier to fix because in newer cars you have ecu trouble, it buggs ocasionally without obvious reason, behaving mostly like microsoft's windows :)

And that is the problem with one of my 205's. It's an injection into an 8v system with a cat. That is the problem right there, Normal cars nowadays are 16v because the cat needs that amount put it simply.

But my other 205 is just 1 year older and it has carburetta... Were only 10 years into the 21st century, it's not like much has really happened when you get down to basics

in mechanical basics, nope, it is same like in late eightes in terms of engine construction and el. ignition but electronics is that what changes timings of injection and other stuff relating power and fuel economy (or even refinement ). and not just engine related, electronics are more complex than ever. my nissan primera has thousands of little computers in it just in enterior
mind that number of valves MEANS NOTHING in that terms, you have vw golg mk3 engine 2.0 8v which (from some crazy reason, probably cost related like always) is used in beetle today (will quit if it didn't as we speak). point is there's no realtion between elctro troubles and number of valves, you have even today some small sized supermini engines that have 8v and have no electronic issues.

It's not the electronics it's the fact that law says it neds a CAT. And for a CAT to run at best and not get clogged up it needs 16v.

Prove it....:p

you really need a proove, anyway, don't bother with legality crap, every country takes away from you more than it should, just not to get caught, bigger problem is whether this kind of interventions will work properly

OK, so here's interesting, used to own a '91 Kia pride. Odo stopped counting at 115000 miles so I have no idea what the mileage was when I got rid of it. Had a cat, with not only 8 valves, but a carb too and the cat was still fine to the end. Even the garage I used at the time couldn't believe it, insisted the box in the middle of the exhaust was a silencer until they shoved a probe up the tailpipe and checked the emissions.
