I know this sounds an odd question, but here goes:

My driver side electric window will go up or down with one touch of the driver side window up/down button, but my passenger side electric window will only go down with one touch of the passenger side electric window up/down button. When I try and raise the passenger side electric window it will not go up with one touch of the button. Is it supposed to? Very many thanks,

Well in my 1.2 pop it's the same so I assume that it is correct. Maybe someone else who has a lounge may be able to just confirm it. I would have thought though, that something as small as that wouldn't be a specific option to one model or another.

Before people come along and start an argument (it happens everytime this is brought up)....

It's a safety thing. Lets say you have a child in the passenger seat and the windows are one touch up then conceivably you could trap the childs fingers in the window or even cut them off, with the drivers side, well obviously no children are going to be driving the car so it's not an issue. Sure some people don't have kids etc etc but some people do and that's the way it is.

Rubbish..

My VXR has one touch up and has an anti-trap feature. Any resistance and the window winds back a few centimeters immediately. Its impossible to get things trapped. So it isnt a risk and is very useful when driving off to just press the window up and go.. all four windows work the same way

But the 500 does not have an anti-trap feature, just no one touch up. I belive it is a safety feature (either that or cost cutting).

BTW, thought the stripes on your 500 looked very nice.

Yes but it probably costs an extra pound or euro or whatever to implement that feature and on a cheap car like the 500 that's where the profit comes from, cutting things which are nice to have, but not essential.

Is there an echo in here? :D

I also liked the stripes on your car spoons and I don't usually like stripes! :) Still not sold on the wheels though :p

Being a CABBUS car I'd hazard a guess that it's part of the software that tells one window not to do one touch up and not at the switch as it seems to have been in all the other cars I've driven.

More like cost cutting, as its definately available on other cars

Thanks Mark.. (y)

I was gutted a little bit not to have been introduced to you. I didnt recognise your car at the time, only when I got back home a signed back in here. Sorry, we may have even spoken to each other
