Hi all,
I have an option to buy some parts that were taken off from 500 Abarth:
IHI VL38 turbo with TMC's wastegate.
TMC downpipe.
Do you think/know if these parts fit the Bravo?

Thanks

Got an answer from a workshop from Greece after I found this link:
http://www.etuners.gr/en/?s=13&t=408

Hi,

You can actually install the bigger turbo without fear for your engine.
The Bravo in the article was a 155hp version, but the engine internals on the 120hp version
are the same, too. Only main difference is on the camshafts (milder) and the injectors being a bit smaller.
A 4 bar FPR should solve this problem. We have done this conversion before and it worked very well.

Best regards,
Stelios.

I just got one unanswered question:
I got a Dualogic gearbox, I couldn't find max torque for it.
I don't know if it is based on M32 gearbox.

Got the parts.
Got 3 down pipes: the original (is it the same past that comes in Bravo?), TMC de-cat and the third is unknown brand.
Got the original Abarth fuel injectors.
And of-course IHI VL38 turbo with TMC wastegate.
I'm looking for the right workshop to assemble these parts.

Hi All,
I've founded the right workshop for this job.
My next question is:
After the work is done, My Bravo will have the same parts as Abarth 500:
  1. ECU
  2. Engine
  3. IHI VL38 turbo
  4. Abarth downpipe
  5. Fuel injectors
  6. Other Abarth 500 pipes
Regarding the remap, does it mean I need an Abarth 500 remap or a custom one?

Thanks.

Get a custom rolling rod (dyno) tune.
-It's safer
-will get you more that the 135HP of the Abarth
-You will see what you pay for (dyno before, while tuning, after)

Oh, an tune i with the kind of petrol you will be using daily (95/98/etc octane).
If you tune it with the best out there you should not use below that in the future because it will probably ping.

Hi all,
Just came back from the workshop.
The turbo was replaced from VL37 to the Abarth's VL38.
Down pipe as well.
It seems I need to remap again. It feels that the Bravo as less torque.

haven't post here for long time.
I just finished my last remap.
My setup for the remap:
IHI VL38 - an Abarth 500 turbo
4 bar fuel pressure regulator.
Full custom pipe : 2.5" of downpipe, central and cat back.

Using "Max Tuning" dyno and software from etuners.gr (Stelios) :worship: we have succeed to achieve the following results.

AFAIK Fiat (and most European car makers) advertise the power at the wheels..so that would be 120 at the wheels.

Still a very good improvement. what petrol do you now run in it? is it still ok with 95 octane?
