General Panda Road Trip Italia

General Panda Road Trip Italia

I am in Spain until April. I am already committed to going on the Wales event and I am very keen on going to Italy. I have looked at several options regarding channel crossings IE: Dover - Calais/ Dover - Dunkirk and the options from Hull. Has anyone else looked at ferry routes yet? I would rather travel with other Panda's if possible.

Hi Zizzeddu, I'm hoping to take the Snatch again in 2017 but not got a plan together yet. (But not the/your camping pod this time.)

I'm pretty determined to go and therefore hopeful that a plan will evolve in due course. Are you up for travelling via south of France and then east into Italy perhaps?

Hi Andy, I could do the South of France trip because I have no time limit on the drive out to Italy. Coming back is a bit tight because I am booked on the Bilbao ferry to Spain early on the 31st. I haven't decided whether to drive the Panda or put it on the trailer. It would be more expensive using the trailer but a faster drive home. I'm waiting to hear what the majority are thinking at the moment and even considering delaying the Spain ferry by a couple of days to fit everything in. How many days did it take you all to drive back to the UK last time?

.
Hello guys !! :D :D

Do you have news by your side ???

Could we make a list, like we did in 2015 ??? :)

This is an example

1) Zizzeddu
2) Lukmek
3) MEP
4) ......

Thank you,
Mirko from Italy

I have just come back from a road trip to Malta all 4070 miles of it but on a motorcycle.
9 days out and 7 back.
You should do it but beware of the driving in Italy they are bonkers.
The tolls can be very expensive as well.
If you go be sure to include the Fuker, the Systen and Grimsel passes in Switzerland. Depending what part of Italy you go to consider Sicily as it's very nice and you can drive up to Mt Etna.

Dear Ken, about 15 persons came in Italy at 2015 meeting (from UK I mean (y) ).

They know that in Italy you pay the highway, but it's
not super expensive, except if you travel 2.000 kilometers :D

The meeting is held in North Italy, not very far from the national borders. ;)

So there isn't a lot to pay for highway..........

Hi Kestral

Please tell me why Italisn drivers always drive a meter over the white lane lines on autoroutes.
I was scared to pass people in case they came back to the line.

.
Because we are italians, there are no chances to teach us
to respect the street rules. :D :D :D

If you come here in my town (South Italy), when we drive
scooters, we do impressive Zig - Zags between cars
(and Police looks without doing anything :devil: ).

I believe that the reason of this is the mind........
The street rules are similar in Europe.......

Are you interested to come to the next meeting ??? (2017)

Mirko

I was really interested to read this thread...................looked like fun.
I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the direction of a supplier of a sticker that I noticed in one of the photos, or video, not sure which.?
It was on the back of one of the cars.(hopefully a UK car)
It showed a ripped slit, and the FIAT red badge just peeping out.....

I thought that neat, but have looked on Italia E bay, and UK e bay with no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated/

Thanks Mirko,a slight misunderstanding on the exact sticker I'm looking for.
I don't have a 4x4, but I'd like it for my Chrysler Delta........and we all know what's underneath
The body of that car.......having said that, a Lancia badge peeping out would be better.
Ian:)

Thread submission 514 by Andy 4x4......it does not want to reproduce the photos from this one. For some reason.
First day on the trails, only a few we were having too much fun!
Have found the photo .......it's the 4x4 white, looks like Italian reg.both sides of the rear flanks.
It seems to be the panda with the rear door Van conversion.
Any help????
Thanks.
Ian
