You could start by learning to compose proper sentences and questions and maybe even proof read what you've written. My spelling and grammer often leaves something to be desired, but I do try to write to a standard that is acceptable, and doesn't confuse the many non-native English speakers who post here.

LOL

By the way Toecutter it is grammar and not grammer, but then, I am not the pedantic one.

As for Panda Boy, Try posting in the 500 forum, no grammar/speller checkers there!

Fix It Again Tony!

howz abt u2 f**k off. i put a 'd' at the start instead of a 'y'. how about you get a life instead of crictise some who has a slight problem with english. All I did was ask a question.

Like I said, folks, my grammar and spelling often leave something to be desired. However, I value the time of others who bother to read my posts, consider the topic, and formulate an answer. I therefore make their reading of the question as direct and as easy as possible. When I go cap in hand to the bank or student loans, I fill in all the boxes correctly, because I know that a sloppy form shows a sloppy attitude (and it will probably not be even read). I hope your sloppy approach to writing, and your aggresive reply, (to what was a hint made with the best of intentions) is not indicative of your approach to design, welding, bodywork and painting.

Best of luck with your project, Rich. Let us know how it proceeds.

Hail to thee, oh (not so pedantic)Toecutter.

I note from your profile that you appear to be 100+ years old. This might explain your lack of restraint, consideration and concern on this site.

I am also well past my 'sell by' date, but still have enough humility left in me to accept my (many) faults.

I feel as though I've 'done it all', from customising to illicit drag-racing.............but there is aways more to learn.

Lighten up my friend. I too enjoy the language but, like the Fiat Panda, it is still evolving.

Peace, love and respect.............

HHmmmmmmm

You may also notice from my first post, that I was considering the position of our many non-native English speakers who post here. I attend a few other forums that are visited by a fair number of non-native English speakers. It has often come up that "text talk typing" simply confuses the hell out of the English learners, and leaves them feeling left out, like when a bunch of petrolhead start talking shop lingo to the mechanically challenged. (Also see scene in The Wild One where Brando's side kick confuses the hell out of the old bar tender).

Didn't want to upset anyone, just thought some effort would make this place more welcoming and less threatening to some.

(staying on topic).obviously you willneed to stregthen the chassis but if your not hauling much it shouldnt have to be too heavy duty although if its for show you will have to bear in mind the extra strain lowering and bigger wheels etc put on a standard chassis

There was only 500 Italia '90s imported into the UK [:0] So who would transform such a rare beast into a pick-up?

Oops - I assumed it was a pick-up. So it's actually a cabriolet?

Steve the geriatric Panda and Beagle freak, but can't see no problem in running a Brava in the meantime ...

Steve - Please return from your dark corner!

I've not seen that picture before, and I wasn't aware of any Panda cabriolets [:0]

As far as I was aware, the 500 Italia 90s that were imported were standard 3dr hatchbacks...

I don't recall ever seeing a cabriolet.

If you do chop the roof off one it might be a good idea to fix six really strong handles to it - evenly spaced. three down each side.

It'll save a lot of time for the undertakers when it folds up on impact[xx(]
