General Panda mods

I was letting my mind wander to the list of modifications available for the new Panda, and was wondering what was available, and whether anyone has tried them? So far I've come up with:

• Remap (Multijet only? )
• Suspension lowering springs
• Grooved/Drilled brake disks and uprated pads
• Replacement air filter

I'm sure there are more options for the petrol engines, as they've been around longer. So far no-one appears to do replacement exhausts for any.
If you have any more options available, post them here. If you've fitted any mods, let us know how good they are.

Indeed. Not much around yet. There are probably some European tuning firms who do Panda stuff but at ridiculous prices.
I'm sure you could fit beefed up brake discs (Multijet already has vented discs which could go on a 1.2 petrol). Or four pot calipers if really keen and plenty of money.
Suspension is a bit of a problem on standard cars, tends to be a bit bouncy and uncontrolled. I know Leda do some lowered springs but ideally you would fit uprated shocks at the same time.
Exhaust looks dead easy to change, just a simple pipe and one silencer at the back end. Two cats I know but forget them, just alter the plumbing that lies behind.
I reckon you would get a nice little 'Q' car out of a Multijet, chipped to 80bhp with some uprated brakes and suspension which would catch larger cars out.

Rapid is not needed for Panda TD. It is fully mappable with existing software.

Brakes are available.

Lowering springs are £88.00.

Replacement filter elements are available and induction kits will be soon.

Exhaust are available too.

I wouldn't waste my time with the standard ECU then. You need realistically a DTA or similar.

Also to add to the list - Fiat Panda strut brace. Listed for the 1.2, but would probably fit the other models too. £56 isn't too bad, and if it tightens up the front end as much as they do on the Coupe then it could be the best value mod available.
Also, it comes in red - I'm sure you could add some white stripes to it!

BTW, started on the Panda petrol induction tooling today. Induction will be available in a short while.

Map for standard car and induction available too soon.

Cams and headwork is available anyway.

Unfortunately Supersprint seems not to be bothered with us people anymore. When enquiring again when Panda an GP exhausts will arrive, the answer was that the main attention is in the future on luxury models of the kind that Fiat doesn't produce.

I found out that the OMP strut brace is available from Demon Tweeks cheaper than from strutbracer.co.uk. Strutbracer never got back to me with my request for info as to whether it used suspension mounting points thumb or required drilling your own thumbd. At least with Demon Tweeks I can go there, see if it'll fit my car, then get a refund if it won't. Not this month though...

I wouldn't think that the demand is the problem. My problem with the MultiJet is that there isn't any space in the engine bay, where Fiat didn't put an obstacle in the way for the routing.

I need a MultiJet for about 2 days. As I just managed to get a GP Sporting from a dealer for a day, I don't think that I will get a Panda from them at the moment.

This might sound really stupid guys, but mind telling me what a strut brace, is and what it does?

The strutbracer website includes VAT and delivery. They haven't replied to the email I sent days ago though
The Classic Panda one will be a different price because it's a different product. Might be bigger or something like that.
A strut brace is a bar that connects the top of the suspension towers to each other. It reduces flex in the car. On my Coupe this had the effect of making the front end feel tighter, and better stuck to the road in the corners.

Having had a closer look under the bonnet of the MultiJet, it seems unlikely that it would actually fit, as there's lots of bits in the way (like part of the engine )
