Anyone know the rough cost of a clutch for the Panda 1000CL (1989) please?

I'm replacing my knackered gearbox with a 5 speeder from a 1000S and it would be silly not to replace the clutch too ...

Cheers,
Steve

If it's any help, a Cinquecento 1108 / Punto 60/75 clutch was £65 for the 3 piece kit. It's probably the same one on yours too, the kit fits about a dozen different applications.

Hello Steve.
Hows the electronic ignition going, makes a real difference does it not?

Recently quoted for new Unipart three part clutch kit £72.50.

Rgds, Pete Lewis.

Forgot to add, Panda clutch is smaller diameter that that used on Cinc/Punto, can however confirm that Panda 1000S and 1000CL use the same clutch kit.
Rgds Pete.

Hi Pete!

Great to see you here! I joined the Fiat Forum yesterday!

Is Mike B. here too?

It makes a tremendous difference! The previous distributor was a weird Ducellier one which cost me £40+ just to change the points!

The engine is running very sweetly, particularly as it's now done 94,000 miles to date, although it hasn't moved since mid-May when the gearbox blew a hole in the casing <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Cheers,
Steve

Hello again Steve.
I have not seen Mike B on here.

Glad to hear you are pleased with the distributor, do not forget to check the vac advance unit on a regular basis.

You will find the five speed box makes a big difference as well.

I didn't realise that the gearbox was so bloody heavy!

Anyway, I thought had better wind up this topic - the clutch was a Quinton Hazell part for a very reasonable £51.41 including the dreaded VAT, from a motor factor.

Steve the elder statesman

Tries to drive a Panda 1000CL [:0] but still has a sense of humour!

I recently had my clutch replaced for a Fiat Panda FIZZ with a FIRE engine, 998 CC. The whole job (labour, parts, ect) cost me about £140. Pretty reasonable, considering I BOUGHT the car for £122!!! LOL!

Hope this helps...?

because your randomly posting, theres no reason to put anything, as the thread is no longer active.

The bloke who your trying to help will of solved his problem in 2003, in fact, steve isnt even on the forum anymore, as he passed away some time ago.

All im saying is dont drag up random old threads from years ago, theres no need, and little point. weve got loads of people on the forum that might need help now, rather then wasting it on dusty threads :)
