Hi folks, I've just bought a Sisley 4x4, and have spent the last day cleaning it as it had been used as a stable for a small horse by the look of it! I've a few questions that might save me a bit of time if anyone could help.
There are quite few bits of broken trim, is a main dealer the place to get that sort of thing? I've done lots of searches but there doesn't seem to be anyone in particular selling Panda stuff.
Is there a parts book or cd available?
I drove the car about 30 miles home, and the temperature gauge was ok while moving, but when parking the temperature rose quite quickly and the fan came on. I don't have a manual yet, but I noticed that the pipe from what I take to be the vacuum advance unit on the distributor had been removed and plugged. I was speculating why that had been done and whether out of kilter timing might be making it run hot - any ideas?
All the best
Mike

Hi there,

I have a sisley the same green colour as yours, I like the green best :)

Best to get the Haynes Manual and the Porter Manual which you can get on eBay. What bits of trim are missing? Fiat dealer would probably be quite expensive for trim maybe try ebay as depending on what bits it is parts from other pandas will fit.
I just fitted a new vacuum advance from my Fiat dealer as mine was broken and its an apparently typical fault on Pandas.

Good luck with it and post some pics !:D

Zulu thanks for that. The parts that are needed on first inspection are - moulding around front seat release handle, moulding that holds dear seal in on the body near the front of the drivers door, the rear nearside light cluster is broken, the rear parcel shelf is split, bottoms of the doors are rotted [I know that's normal], the cambelt [I presume] cover is broken, the over centre catches that I take to be holding the air filter on are both broken. Would I be right in thinking that those parts would be common to standard pandas?

P.s. I had a look at the F.A.Q's in the Panda section and only one came up, am I missing something?

Hello,

I've got a Sisley trim question too.

Does anyone know where I could get a piece of the black plastic exterior trim with the canoe on it that fills in the gap between the rear wheel and the door? The lower bit has snapped off mine while I was playing in the snow. I think the build up of frozen snow flicked up by the wheel was too much for it.

Put a downer on a great day.

(I think I've got the blue Sisley TonyM sold last easter. The reconditioned gearbox is in it now. Syncromesh AND +5mpg :))

Yes and these are also found on cinqs and punto's fitted with the fire engines if you are heading for a scrappies(y)
