Have just put a complete new stainless steel system in the classified.
Complete from the cat inc, back box from Neil Surrrey Labs, has never been fitted

Resurecting an old thread.

How noisy are these backboxes?

I am looking for one that is relatively quiet and subtle. I don't mind a slight increase in idle and when opening it up but I want it quiet and not droning at motorway speeds as I do 160 miles a day.

Another option is this but again I don't know how quiet they are...

My 100HP has an Ultersport back box (quite often mentioned on here, I've been a bit lazy as to not look for the link...sorry!)


It sounds fairly normal to me, I don't think it changes the sound much/at all from standard, however, that suits me.


No droning or anything like that. The loudest sound I can hear when 'going for it' is certainly the growl from the engine/induction!


It's quite smart looking, bigger end of the pipe, looks sporty but not OTT....

Gareth, I am looking at replacement options when mine rots
@Punto MC, The Ulterbox sounds good in terms of sound but the pipe is too big and thick for my liking.

I've seen some oval tailpipes on their site but I am not sure if they would fit in the bumper's recess.
@evo-number-one, from what I gather the Ragazzon one is noisy and similar to a GrpN one, no?

I like that this exhaust has a slightly smaller exit pipe than some of the others, but worried it might be little too loud ?

Say compared to a Ragazzon exhaust ?
