Got some pics of the new Palio 1.8R - only problem is that it is only avalible in Argentina.

Engine - 1.8i 16v
Suspension - Lowered by 12mm & ABS
Body - semi clear tail-lights, smoke headlights, racing stripes, roof spoiler, 14" rims (only for this model) & Full colour coded bumpers.
Interior - 1.8R carbon badging on dash, red stich seats with red stich gear & Handbrake, MP3 stereo.

A nice good looking cute little car!

Only Racing about this model are its strips and badges.
Has the GM single OHC 8v engine.
But its becoming popular here in Mexico, you can also have them in Brasil but only with 5Drs.
These are made in Brasil, with poor labor quality.

Palio is the best selling Fiat world wide!

Dear Athos, take care when you say that brazilian cars had a "poor labor quality" because many of our cars go to Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, South Africa, Turky, and are used like base from FIATs from China and India ok.

Brasil is the only contry outside Italy have a Design Center, the same you have in Turim, Italy, Brazil are developed all the cars for develoning countries.

I had a question about those styling bits from the exterior, does any body have their codes because i want to order the colorcoded side skirts, spoiler and front headlights but i need their codes so i can give them to the fiat dealer to order them for me, any help would be appreciated

Come on guys, no need to be so harsh. IMHO, any car sitting so high with such small wheels like this would be ugly. Remove the stickers (depends on the body color bye the way,) Put nice 15's and drop it by 35-40 mm and enjoy the nice fast new Palio. (At least that's what i did to mine

Indeed, the ones produced in Turkey have the new front combined with the previous versions back-side lol. I will try to upload a pic of a recent Palio produced in Turkey.

No news / rumours from Turkey about the new Palio.

yeah i've seen these spyshots , well all I know , is that its Guigaro again , the new design is longer about 30 - 35 cm , to allow more leg space .

the design is based off the Grand Punto , and it even got the Tail lights from the grand punto , not the old ones anymore .
The front is also a modified grand punto headlight .

new instrument panel , no info about it , this Palio is going to see the light at the UK and Western europe if they used the newly developed Fire , which meets EuroIV standards , and there's some speculations that the new Chinese Engines developed for Fiat By Chery Automobile of china will be used , since Fiat can no longer use the Torque engines .

We'll see , its supposed to debut in Brazil in March 2007 .
I dont think i will get one tho ,, at least not until they get some decent DEALERS here ..

The first Palio's been incredibly cheap to maintain here in Turkey. I hope the new one will be produced here soon. I also hope that it won't look like a cheap version of Grande Punto, the way Skoda Fabia looks compared to WV Polo. Sad, it won't probably have a strong engine.

I am afraid thats what the whole " Palio/Siena " Project is , a cheaper alternative to the Punto , for developing countries ..

but also there's a good point here , according to Wikipedia , the Grand Punto thats gonna be produced in Brazil and Turkey is going to alot stronger ( Chasis Wise ) due to the nature of the raods .

this might mean that the Palios are also stronger then previous ones , which is always a welcome .

Anyways , the Palio 3 is going to be a cheap grand punto , however with a few original touches here and there , the same Palio 2 engines are going to be used .. the FIRE ones , and in Brazil adds the 1.8 and the Flexi one .

I like the Fabia , I dont like its price however .. but I never really noticed that its the same platform of the Polo .

VW cheapo golf/polo is the VW GOL ( Golf without the F ) its made in brazil as well , same features as the Palio , selling at the same price , however only available in a 1.6 8V engine producing 94hp . which i think is an old FORD engine , since the whole car is based on the aging Ford Escort.

its all Personal tastes , I hate tha last Punto ( not the Grand Punto ) and i think its the worse looking punto ..

I hate the Evolution ( Looks only ) yet I find the much cheaper Toyota yaris ( looks only again ) attractive .

I love my Palio , if photographed correctly , its really pretty , but from some other angles its not really that pretty .
