Technical P2563 turbo position sensor

Hi there , after some advise please . Got a fiat ducato 3.0 litre with a engine management light on and had it checked out at a garage . The code stored is p2563 turbo position sensor . Any ideas what could be causing this fault ?

hi ya not to sure on the age of your ducato but mine is a 57 plate 160 multijet with a ford Iveco engine, I have had this problem and replaced all the sensors to no avail, it has turned out to be the throttle turbo actuator, I have been told this is a common fault on these engines but don't hold me to it, check it out, hope this helps

Hi there , thank you for the reply . Got the van in at a fiat garage and they have ordered a new turbo as the position sensor is built into the turbo

wtf new turbo is about £1700 plus fitting, you can get a secondhand one for about 250 on ebay or turbo rebuild people should be able to supply a sensor for 100 ask this guy for example:

If you're asking around the turbo rebuilders the garrett number for your turbo is probably 796122-5001S or 796122-00001 they should be able to tell you which sensor you need, as carpmanic said could turnout to be the actuator.

Hi , finally all fixed . Had a new turbo fitted and all ok now . Had a bit of a wait as the turbo was on backorder :bang: just glad to get my van back

Luckily the van has warranty so it was done under that , the only problem was having no van for about 2weeks !
