Have the opportunity through work to get the above model for nowt. Tesco have recently upgraded the Blackberry option to the above model which, according to the O2 website has GPS built in: -

Being a complete no-hoper when it comes to mobile phones can anyone tell me if it comes pre-loaded with Sat-Nav software or do I have to get additional software for it? Anyone have experience of this model and it's Sat-Nav?

Got 11 of these at work, set them all up myself.

What is it you want to know?

My apologies - Didn't read your first post Oz :)

It doesn't come with Satnav, however there is an addon package for it I think for £19.99/month for SatNav.

Hmmm, not keen on that price. Can you download Tom-Tom onto it?

for all your woes, in your phones web browser type in wap.amaze.com, its voted the best FREE mobile/pda gps navigation software. url accessible from ya mob, and installable from ya mob, no cables or anything to worry about, you can thank me later pal

Yeah, thank you for a whopping data charge on his next mobile bill. He'll also thank you when the below average mapping gets him lost.

Amaze is a clunky, Java based app that requires you to download mapping data live to your phone as you need it, therefore potentially incurring big data charges. They even have a page on their website with hints and tips on how to avoid these big data charges...

http://www.amazegps.com/index.php?page=economy&language=uk

So unless you have an unlimited data plan, Amaze is deceptively expensive.

There is another free Nav system called Nav4All which is marginally better...

And of course, if you have a Nokia Symbian phone, there is Nokia Maps.

But don't be fooled by the "free" tags, the app is free, but acquiring the all important maps might not be.
