The use of flushing oil in a modern engine is deprecated; the general consensus view is that they do more harm than good. Fiat do not approve or endorse their use and doing so on a car still under the manufacturer's engine warranty will void that warranty. IIRC back in the day, Fiat would sometimes want an oil sample for analysis before approving warranty repairs on TA engines.
Given the known intolerance of the uniair module to the use of anything other than the correct oil; I'd say the warning is particularly relevant to the TA and there's no way on earth I'd ever consider using a flushing oil in one.
If you're concerned about contamination in a car with a dubious history, do an oil & filter change now, then do another one after 500-1000 miles. Remember with a TA that there's also a fine screen filter for the uniair module; you might want to clean or change that, though some say than once disturbed, it should not be reused. Replacements can be had from S4P, though they're around £50 a time.
