Does that include Factory Fitted Options?
:yeahthat:

So will having body coloured bumpers increase my insurance cost if i went with 'Adrian Flux'.... as they were not standard parts for my car, but rather optional extra's like the alloys and boot spoiler?

They will increase your premium for having body coloured bumpers if they were not like that originally, I honestly don't think they will ramp it up for that though £10-£40.

Some insurance companies don't add anything on for cosmetic mods though, so you might get lucky :)

My current insurer said at renewal that i will have to pay more as they see that "Body coloured bumpers" are a mod - fitted when the car was made, along with the alloys and boot spoiler, hence i'm changing at renewal - prices goes up £300 for them:eek:

As a rule cosmetic mods would not increase your premium, but, we would always ref it to the insurer first!

Yes. If your car was written off and you has say a glass roof as an option would you not want the difference to be able to replace it like for like? Equally what will happen is said roof shatters and costs £500 to replace. I doubt insurance will be interested if they're not aware of it being fitted as youve not declared it.

£2600:eek: with discounts etc, 19 1yr no claims 1.1L Punto, no mods...
One of the most expensive quotes i had this renewal - went with admiral for £1100:eek: still too much in my opinion...

Is that with you on your own policy completely? with the car registered in your name? or is that with a parent on too and you as a named driver? What sort of policy have you got with Admiral?

I'm 17... passed in October last year, was driving for 4 months, head gasket went, cancelled insurance and claimed on tax (we didn't know that we were going to decide to repair) We rang i-kube (same insurance supplier as I was on 3 weeks earlier for £1700) and I have been quoted £7000... Nothing less :bang:

I previously had insurance but a broken car, now I have a car but there is no way I can afford anything above £1700...

By the way, car is an N-reg (1995/6) 1.1l Punto 55S with no mods other than a new radio.

Would I get a decent quote with Adrian Flux?
What else do you reccomend?

I was hoping to be able to switch to you guys but my insurance do not offer any form of refund upon cancellation of insurance - I have paid in full for a year. Is this a common thing amongst all insurance companies?

P.s.
Im 17 first time drive on an 06 grande punto what sort of quote can you offer me?

i think you should give them a ring, quotes are based on many, many factors.
