Technical Non-working passenger (left hand side) windscreen wiper ... it's trying but nothing is happening!!

2006 petrol Doblo RH drive
LH side (passenger) windscreen wiper stopped working. When the wipers are switched on, there is a vibration as if the windscreen wiper is trying but nothing is happening. Any idea what the problem is?
I checked the nut and that is tight.

Generally either worn spline at nut holding wiper arm on or wiper linkage dropped off, although that often causes it to jam and blow a fuse.
I now know why it is raining in Devon , you lot sent it up from Cornwall as usual

I have a friend in Cardinham and often the weather he is experiencing when trying to get hay in etc. appears here a few hours later.

I think he went to Grammar School unlike me, so maybe you are right, probably even lifts the seat
