Technical Non runner, Battery drain

I have just installed a new enginein my 1.2, its fully plumbed and connected. However, whenI putthe battery in and turn the key, its as if the battery is dead, it wont turn over at a normal speed, even with a full battery. What could cause this? Could it be a bad earth or the ecu? Im so close to having this car going cheers for any help!

Panic over people On further inspection of the cabling, the earth cable was in poor shape. A new one fitted, the car sprang to life

Glad you sorted it out. It's imperative that earthing and its associated cabling be thoroughly checked and if need be, replaced.
