Technical No power to amp :(

Will try it cheers for the help, where is this other place you can ground it to is it the boot lock or something?

Any bolt on the car will work that's through the shell if you make sure it's metal on metal, I usually found one in the compartment to the side of the boot that houses speaker wires/rear lights. Remove bolt and polish/remove paint so it's a good contact with the connector and then that should be ok. If earth was a problem it may be blowing fuses - mine did anyway but it also blew the amp up at the same time .

if the fuse blew, and the amp did, i'd suspect it was a faulty amp and the fuse did what it should have done

A faulty earth wouldnt case it to blow, it just wouldnt work or poorly

The seat buckles i understand are good spots, but personally, i've got my kit hooked upto the boot earth

i think it may not be working as i let my mate done it, he has an amp and sub and his works but the way he was doing mine, he didnt disconnect the negative while he was doing it and was touching the power lead to the negative and then the positive to make a spark.. which apparently is dangerous...

but yeah when the power lead was connected to positive or touched it, it didnt make a spark so does that mean no power is coming from the lead?

Try the amp in your mates car - if it doesn't work he's blown it.

Just took head unit out and noticed that he didn't tape it very good and it had disconnected can someone verify that this cable is my remote wire and I've got it all set up ready

heatshrink is best way but if not available,

conector block and plenty of insulation tape..normaly safe enough,

i don't think that OE REMOTE wire is even the remote wire, because one its purple and I doesnt seem to be doing anything, im not sure if my stereo has a remote wire

run it as switched live then,

feed off fag lighter perhaps ?

amp remote wire is normaly on the iso/plug wiring . (blue)

in the past ive just got afuse and bridge the rem to the 12v on the amp,
