Technical Ngk spark plug dcpr7e or dcpr8e

before moving to gearbox is that possible to do something with spark plug wires.

because my concept behind this due to below.

why a vehicle jerks even when its idle?.

spark plug weak or no proper supply from spark plug wires else coil may be weak?

i changed plug so i think spark plug wire or coil may be weak. is there any easy to identify this.

finally i see dashboard warning light as shown in the link

Ignition coil for mk2 automatic version

After changing the spark plug also performance of the vehicle remain the same. One day i removed all the four plug and check for the spark on the each one. Only three plugs are sparking last plug is not firing even i tried changing spark cable still it remain the same. So i doubted my ignition coil is died. Am i correct in my findings. How to faulty ignition coil whether any light will appear in dash board?

engine is misfiring and there is a vibration and car feels very slow also before light is flashing now its not

i tried changing another spark cable with non working cable still results are the same. code reading is not possible its very rare to find a punto code reading machine here in uae.

is there any other way is available to find dead ignition coil?

alan,

thanks for the link i order code reader cable to determine the error by my self.
if a coil is weak there will no spark at two plugs or only at one. because i read in web site if a coil is weak there will be mis fire at two cylinders. but when i check myself i cannot find spark only at one end rest three i can see the spark

is there is any link available how to clean coil pack cable or terminals

did you try another plug too? i know they are all new but its not unheard of for a new plug to be dead, especially if they come through the post

All modern cars have the same basic codes and protocol, so you should be able to use, let's say, a code reader for a 2010 Subaru on a Mk2 Punto.

As long as the reader is OBD2 compliant, it'll read all but the "special" FIAT codes.

Depends how the coil has failed. Generally, no spark at 2 plugs, but some failures give no spark at only one.

You can clean terminals with WD40 and a soft cloth. Works pretty well for cables, too.

Finally it happened there is no spark at two ends. It means coil died correct ?.
Now we are not able move the car also it just turn on and make some noise then its off automatically.

Now i am going to buy coil pack but its really very hard to find spares here in Dubai for Fiat vehicles. Its really hard to find any fiat made vehicles. So i am going to order them via online. Could anybody advise me cheap and value spare parts link with delivery to Dubai.

Finally i found some guy who are selling land rover ignition coil and i am going to change the coil now with help of mechanic . But he remove the HT leads with out marking the number now he don't know how to connect cables is there any wiring diagram available to make the connection between coil pack and engine.
