Newbie seeking first project car

Hi everyone. I am a newbie to this forum as well as a newbie to working on cars in general. I do love to drive and have been looking for a project car. I have been searching for an affordable Triumph, but have given up. I have stumbled upon a couple early 70’s Fiat Spiders that seem reasonable. Are these generally easy to work on and are parts readily available for them? Am also interested in any literature on these as well to study up on. Thanks for your time.

There’s a few from the US with spyders…hopefully they’ll be along soon with advice

why dont you read some of the posts in the spyder forums that will give you an idea of what they are like to live with, common problems, and parts availability etc
