Firstly hello all new driver here and started a little family buisness so found a second hand 2013 Scudo to use for it, being a new driver I was told they are good to drive like a car so here we are, enjoying it, it’s a Multijet 2.0 turbo.

Here are the couple of issues, the van is my run around and I have a baby so baby seat is in the front, does anyone know where passenger airbags are to turn them off, I have looked everywhere and tried everything to no avail, obvs I need this sorted asap having a baby in the front?

Secondly, the radio beeps when on, it is driving me mad, I have an apple CarPlay but the cigarette lighter doesn’t work so can’t use that, if I buy a new stereo to fit in place do you know if it will work and what pin stereo do I need?

Sorry if they sound daft questions I’m just new to the world of cars and vans so have no idea,

Thanks for your help

Hello,

Definitely DON'T install the child seat facing backwards until you switch off the passenger airbag!!!

In the download section of the forum (link on the bottom of the forum banner) there are owner's handbooks available for downloads. The latest one comparing to the production year of your van is from December 2009, however it's the same generation of the van, so should be identical / similar.

Probably it will come handy in many other situations, too. So it's worth having it even on your smartphone.

The airbag system is described in the security section. If you can't find the switch as described in the manual, I'd assume you van is equipped with the driver's airbag only. The manual states that the passenger's airbag was optionnal. There's even a diagram (or drawing) showing how does it look like, so you might be able to confirm it on your own.

If you see the airbag but not the switch, check in ePER with the VIN number of your van. ePER is the FIAT spare parts catalogue. Link again at the bottom of the forum banner, search windows top left of the screen.

If you put the VIN in the appropriate window and the system recognises it, you will get a new screen with the 'VIN search result' and a link at the bottom. Click the link, you'll be redirected to the vehicle details. A blue band with some useful information (like production date) will appear. And an blue 'All' button. Click it, you'll get the list of all options / equipment installed AT THE FACTORY on your van.

For the beeping radio, are you sure it's the radio? In which conditions does the beep appear?
