General new fiat 500, slight issue with windscreen wiper...

Just picked up a twinair today, it's very different to my last car which was a VW Passat, but I'm loving it so far (corrrr the sound of the engine)!!

there is a slight issue with the windscreen wiper though, it judders quite a bit and makes a horrible sound... is it "normal" for a new car or would it be better in the rain?

Another thing, I recalled reading somewhere that there is a storage compartment under the passenger's seat, but I don't seem to have one. I was told that's because I opted for leather seat? It's a Twinair Lounge by the way.

You are right...no pocket under leather seats

Wipers: mine did this and I just wiped the blades and then liberally squished the washer fluid a few times and twas sorted.

ah damn, I can't hide my clutters then...

i probably could have sorted the windscreen wiper thing out if i just used the washer jet, but the car is still spanking new and clean and I didn't want any water streaks on it

Hi Matthew, congrats on the new car and to be honest I found that the wipers on mine were exactly the same from new. As they wear in they might improve but otherwise it could be caused partially by whatever the dealer cleaned the screen with before handing it over to you. Try a good glass cleaner, I use Fastglass, and see if that helps.

I expect you will have quite a few questions to ask about things on the car over the next few weeks and as you are in Hampshire you are welcome to join us on Sunday 21/08/2011 when a few of us are meeting up in the New Forest. Between us we should be able to answer anything you need to know, except questions about Winter Tyres, lol.

Just had a look at photos of the previous meet... OMG so many 500s!! Im just back from holiday that weekend but I should be able to make it. I'll post on the event thread when I find out.
