Technical New Fiat 500 Owner, my cars battery is completely drained everyday

Hi! My Fiat 500 is my first car so my car knowledge is minimal. Every day I go to driver her, she's dead. I looked up common faults so I've disconnected the module for the radio (then the radio itself). I've also got a brand new battery and alternator too. Any idea what's draining her battery or what I can do??

(I also make sure i have everything turnt off before i turn the car off!)

Hello, if you have a 2007-2015 Lounge, Sport or Abarth model no doubt you will have a Fiat ‘blue and me ‘ l handsfree module fitted in the rear passenger side panel (For a UK car)

When this fails it can cause a permanent 24 hour battery drain even when the car is turned off and locked……

The only solution is to access the module and physically unplug it.
This will immediately stop the parasitic battery drain, but, if not already, will cause the mileage to flash.

This is because the car is ‘looking’ for the now missing module on the canbus data network.
It shows its unhappiness by flashing the mileage !

If the module is refurbished and refitted your mileage will stop flashing and the handsfree function will work again.

Alternatively, I would recommend leaving the module permanently unplugged, have a procedure called a ‘proxi alignment’ carried out using Fiat compatible diagnostic software, such as MultiECUscan.

This will stop the mileage flashing as the car re learns no longer keep looking for the now unplugged blue and me module.

Personally I would recommend considering a stereo upgrade to an Xtrons touchscreen wireless Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto touchscreen unit.
