Stilo Nero the Jtd Stilo

Introduction

Well since the 306 was missbehaveing , i think it ran out of cheese ...

so i got told about this Stilo for sale of a Good friend of mine and hes legend of a dad was selling it so had a test dive and said i want it if the insurance was cheep enough so a quick call and it was a massive £4 more .. so went for the car today the car will be used for my work horse (y)

pics
tbf i used to catch the bottom of my old stilo sometimes and that was bone stock..

never had issues with Betty being low for MOT though, she was far too low for the brake tester but they don't have to use the brake tester in this situation they can just drive round the block and check it stops and thats acceptable ;) I amazed the jack thing got caught though - he must have a crap one :p

Wow. Nice brace lol, oh dear, I was hoping to lose some of the arch gap I have, around 3inch with out having to go for coilovers, oh well, looks like it's going to have to be coilovers

Well if i put my orginal Wheels on they fill the arches a lot better , makes it les arch gappy.. but these wheels have a lower profile tyre on what make it look skyjacked :(

Well at work today got a spare 30 mins while "on bait" ,, decided to give her a clean . ,, she had not been washed on 2 week :( she was brown... :( so quick wash and chamoise dry :) wheels cleaned and sealed , slicked , tar and glued , and polished windows polished and treated with Rain X

Oh nero says Merry christmass followers

I have only just noticed the cheeky FMIC, did you gain anything from it as I have heard the stock one is decent???

Also, what tyre/wheel sizes you running???

yeah shes a little bit more laggy when on boost , but i get a Overboost error with having a full stright though on ,,, Butt now with the intercooler on the Eml dont come on as much ,, and in my mind it tends to pull a little harder on boost than before (y)

ihh and tyre size is 185 50 16... i think

ahhh that explains the arch gap a bit better lol, going to have 205/55r16 on mine to keep the ride comfort.

hmmmmm I really like the way yours sounds but don't know if I can be bothered with the EML issues, might just do the back box delete and a cone filter and the tuning box.

is your issue with over boosting due to the box and would a re-map avoid this???

its more than likely the Tuning box as i have it turned up quite high , but omg its quick when its up high :) , if i have it down on 2 or 3 i never get the Eml light on , i dont think the cone filter made that much diffrnce to the noise to the induction wise just made the engine more boomey on tick over

Went through the full thread in one go today and boy, i'm impressed by the way you are maintaining it for the miles you ve munched on it ! still looks new.
Just my opinion, The previous black alloys you had, suited the beast very much with the stealth look it gave.:yum:
When i saw the pics of the new skoda fabia which they released this year, i felt uncanny resemblance to the old stilo, timeless design italians pulled out more than a decade age.
Just a couple of questions for you, how much difference do you feel before and after you fixed the strut braces? Any reason you chose the ones you have now over forge underbody braces?
And how you decide the size of 'larger' intercooler to upgrade?

 I just saw a stilo some guy in my apartment has and it looked so chunky with the 18" alfa dial wheels !!! bigger wheels would do justice to the lowering you did and reduce the arch gap with the current wheels .

so I take it the boost is controlled electronically by the ECU on these then???

Thank you for your comments , i do try and keep her looking clean , she dose have her bad spots , theres copuple of bad dents , stone chips All over the bonnets

i can see what you mean about when i had my Stilo Blades on , they were made for the car , and they are purple :p, But i needed two tyres for them and my friend was selling these wheels and ive always wanted a set ,

For the Braces , I noticed the bugget diffrance fitting the Top brace at the front just feel a bit more solid round corners

as for the underbrace , a good old friend of mine was selling his Stilo and it had one on , he took it off for me

Lowring springs , It did make a considable amount of diffrance , did get rid of the archgap nicely ,, not that you can tell when ive got these wheels on , when i put the Orignal wheels on , theres not much archgap left

For the size of the intercooler , i was on ebay and i seen the intercooler and it looked nice and big :p and for £60 i thought its not much if its wrong , i wanted a Fmic on show what has worked out well imo ,

Dude, can you post a pic up of where your tuning box is please. I need to check mine as its really running well and I am getting over boost protection kicking in if I am on full throttle too long.
