Well Nero was poorly at the weekend. Dashboard decided to light up like a Christmas tree (a little early me thinks) and all electrics decided to stop working.
Got recovered 130 miles back to the garage on Sunday evening. Got my car back Wednesday, cracking turn around to say they didnt know about it until 9am Monday morning, turns out an air con pipe had split near the alternator spraying the AC liquid/gunk onto the alternator causing it to slowly fail.
Pipe, alternator and AC sorted all under warranty and gave me amazing service all the way through. However must say if this was what caused my AC to fail during the summer I'm surprised they didn't pick it up back then. Hey ho.
Also in other news I'm now starting to use Shell V-Power+ Nitro and appears so far to give a nicer engine note and had a couple more pops and bangs which never fail to put a smile on my face
It does concern me when I hear about all the reliability issues people have with Abarths. I do very low mileage so I might be ok. But I did find the build quality to be poor though.
i must say everytime i have been in a new/nearly new fiat i am shocked by how flimsy and shoddy they feel. A cinq defo feels better put together than a Grande for example. My mum's mk2 punto is not that bad and nor was my Stilo. Can't really comment on reliability of the really new cars, but again the stilo was as reliable car and mothers mk2 has been decent too.
Been meaning to look at this thread since Stanford Hall... -- apologies for the delay... -- but what an utterly yummy car (and I love the number plate...)! :worship:
As blu73 said: I bet it's fun keeping it clean, though...!
Aye, well the car is nice but compared to the bravo it's like going from a Merc to a Dacia. It's crazy to think the bravo and the Punto are made by the same people!
Well I went from a 2010 Panda to an Abarth and the difference in build quality was shocking. Even though both were made by Fiat I think it has more to do with where its made. The Panda and 500 are made in Poland and are pretty robust whereas the Punto is made in Melfi Italy. The paint quality and finish in particular is very bad.
